You are a rare talent mate.keep up with the good work and please tell me what program u used for drawing and what graphic tablet.i m thinking to buy one,but i m new in pc drawing area.i m more of traditional hand art
Thanks! I really appreciate the kind words. I did this entirely in Photoshop CS5, I use a Wacom Intuos4 medium tablet. I'm originally trained traditionally and worked in oils up until a year ago and made the jump to digital. Best of luck! It's a lot of work involved but it's worth it.
Beautiful picture. The energy swirling around his hands has a very organic feel and look to it, different I think from the magic pouring out of the maelstrom. The way the two pillars flank Thrall I find lend terrific focus to him when working in conjunction with the Maelstrom. I adore the textures of the ocean and rock he stands on. Simply beautiful with the melding of dark and lighter colours together.
Great job on Thrall himself by the way. The fur and his hair were masterfully done and the veins on his arms are a great touch. The lights shining off of him are perfectly placed and that ethereal glow forming an outline is wonderful, particularly how it sneaks through the bottom of his robes. I must say I enjoy the skin with its rougher and leathery look, something somewhat absent from his face but that just makes it so much better.
Great piece. You kept to the original artwork very well and the effort shows through.
